Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Willard Katsande, has indicated that Chiefs haven’t started the season as well as they would have liked but is confident they can improve.
Chiefs got off to a flyer in the league last season and maintained their lead throughout cantering to the title with a 12-point gap between themselves and second placed Mamelodi Sundowns.
This season the Amakhosi have had a relatively slow start to the Absa Premiership, drawing two and winning one of their opening three league games.
The Glamour Boys sit fourth on the log with five points and Katsande is not too worried about the position Chiefs find themselves in and is confident they will do well.
“We haven’t started as well as we would have liked. If you look at last season, we started very well and finished on a high.”
“We would have liked to have started like that, but every season is different. But it’s not bad at all. It’s still early in the season and we can improve,” Katsande said.
Chiefs face a tricky fixture in the shape of SuperSport United this weekend and will be hoping to claim a victory and kick start their season.
