Former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns defender Derrick Spencer is still training with Mpumalanga Black Aces as he attempts to get his career back on track.
Spencer, who was released by Wits, has been training under the watchful eye of the AmaZayoni coach Clive Barker for some time now.
With Aces having just recently signed Mbulelo ‘OJ’ Mabizela, the 31-year-old defender-cum-midfielder's chances were slightly hindered.

However, his ability to play both as a defender and a midfielder could prompt Aces to give him the chance.
Aces Media Liaison Officer Gordon Masondo tells the Siya crew that the decision on whether or not to sign Spencer rests with the technical team.
“Spencer is still here training with the team. The technical team has not given us its recommendation, so he’ll continue to train,” explained Masondo.
