Mohamed Belaili will be looking to be a thorn in the Orlando Pirates defence if given enough space.
While Esperance will be pinning their hopes on the likes of Ahmed Akaichi for the CAF Champions League semifinal first leg clash against Orlando Pirates tonight, one player who could terrorise Bucs if left unchecked is winger Mohamed Belaili.
Blessed with pace and trickery, the 21-year-old has established himself as one of the key members of this Esperance side and no doubt Maher Kanzari will be hoping he continues with his rich vein of form.
The exclusive statistics and information at the crew’s disposal show that Belaili is not your old school winger who hugs the touchline, but plays in-field off the left channel and enjoys taking the defender on. He also has an eye for goal and Happy Jele will need to be on his guard in order to contain him.
Belaili has been capped 14 times for the Algerian national U23 side.
