Wayne Sandilands could be expected to leave Mamelodi Sundowns if his current situation at the club does not improve.
The one-time Bafana Bafana goalkeeper is consistently an understudy to Kennedy Mweene at Sundowns.
Sources close to the Chloorkop outfit have indicated that Sandilands could be set for an exit in search of regular game-time elsewhere, if he continues to be overlooked for the number one jersey at Sundowns.
The 31-year-old had a mere four league starts next to his name under Pitso Mosimane at Sundowns last season, which cannot be seen as good enough for a player that had been in the national team set-up.
Sandilands had a chance to play when Mweene had just recovered from an injury at the beginning of the season.
Rustu as he is affectionately known to football fans, had two consecutive league starts in the first two games of the season for Sundowns. He was unfortunately halted by an injury on his progress.
The Benoni-born player has since been relegated to the bench, which has led to Siya sources indicating that he might consider leaving the club in the near future.
