New Face Arrives At SuperSport
SuperSport United started their pre-season preparations today as they returned to training for the first time, and there was a new face on show as they got underway.
The Siya crew reported last month that Matsatsantsa were one of three clubs keen to try and land Zimbabwean international, Washington Arubi, and that – as things stood – they were the favourites to get his signature.
Now, according to Siya sources, the 32-year-old has been spotted at Megawatt Park, although it remains to be seen if he has secured himself a contract in Tshwane or not.
Arubi is available as a free agent as his contract with Stellenbosch FC expires later this week, and SuperSport could be on the lookout for a replacement for Reyaad Pieterse if the former Kaizer Chiefs man ends up leaving the club in the upcoming transfer window.
SuperSport suffered a difficult campaign in 2017/18, only surviving relegation on the last day of the season, and will be hoping for much better in 2018/19 in the PSL as they go in search of more silverware.
