Orlando Pirates coach, Vladimir Vermezovic, has dismissed rumours that there is some animosity between him, defender Thabo Matlaba and midfielder Daine Klate.
Speaking at a press conference held at the PSL offices today, Vermezovic said he wanted to help Matlaba to be in the Bafana set-up, not to destroy his career.
"I explained the Thabo Matlaba situation after the Kaizer Chiefs game,” said Vermezovic.
"Thabo is an important player for us & Bafana. I will always do everything I can to help him advance for the sake of Bafana.
“Even Daine, when you have a guy who won five titles, you have a guy that knows how to win. I will get him back into Bafana," added Vermezovic.
Meanwhile, midfielder, Daine Klate, also dismissed the rumours that there is animosity between him, Matlaba and Vermezovic.
"What I see on Twitter is that people think VV is fighting with me and Matlaba. It's not like that. I promise you all that there is no animosity at Pirates. The coach is not fighting with anyone," commented Klate.
"Coach had Thabo in the team and was ready to travel with him, but Thabo told him he was sick. He felt weak & unfit to travel because of flu. So, all these things on Twitter about us fighting is not true. Even with Chiefs, coach explained his thoughts. It was tactical,” concluded Klate.
