Shock Sacking, Unpaid Salary – Coach Waits On Club
Former Witbank Spurs coach, Vusi Mkhatshwa, is in negotiations with Maccabi FC, but is still await payment from his previous employers after he was sacked.
The Siya crew recently reported that both Maccabi and TS Galaxy were keen on Mkhatshwa as they get their first season in the National First Division underway, and it appears he also has some unfinished business with Witbank Spurs.
With a move to Maccabi looking like a real possibility for the coach, the crew got in touch with Gerald Baloyi, of Vodia Player’s Management And Marketing, who said in this week’s issue of Soccer Laduma, “Coach Vusi Mkhatshwa was employed by Witbank Spurs during the current season, but they didn’t pay him two months’ salary and owe him money.”
Mkhatshwa was only with Spurs for such a short space of time, and his sacking came as a shock - he said that he found out about it in the media - so the fact that he is allegedly owed two months’ salary will be worrying for him.
Spurs were contacted for comment on the matter, however by the time of going to print no response had been received.
