Former Ajax Cape Town goalkeeper, Hans Vonk, is spending some time in South Africa and catching up with some of his former teammates and old friends. Vonk is having a short break and will be in Cape Town for a week.
Having retired from the professional game back in 2011, the former Bafana Bafana keeper has been in Holland where he has being doing some work with Dutch Eredivisie side, AZ Alkmaar.
It is believed that the 43-year-old is now looking at getting involved in the team management, with the two-time Dutch champions.
However, before pursuing his new adventure, Vonk has taken some time out in the Mother City. On Thursday he played a round of golf, where his four-ball included former teammate Sean Roberts and Sander Vesterveld, who replaced him at the Urban Warriors.
Vonk played a staggering 29 league games in his final campaign with Ajax, the 2010/11 season, under coach Foppe de Haan. It was the team that narrowly lost out on the league title to Orlando Pirates.
