Gavin Hunt has previously stated that he won’t be leaving out Vincent Pule after he signed a pre-contract with Kaizer Chiefs, but he’ll have no choice this weekend.

Pule, who will join the Amakhosi at the start of the 2018/19 season, has continued to play for Wits since it was made clear that he would be on the move, with Hunt saying that he will only be left out if his performances drop.

Now though, with the Clever Boys in the midst of a relegation battle, they will be forced to leave him out of their squad to take on Golden Arrows this weekend due to suspension.

Pule picked up his fourth yellow of the season as Wits were knocked out of the Nedbank Cup by Cape Town City last week, and will now be unavailable on Saturday afternoon.

Wits are currently just one point ahead of the relegation play-offs and need to finish the season on a high if they’re to get themselves clear of the drop zone.
