Former AmaZulu striker, Sifiso Vilakazi, could return to Cape Town with either Santos or Chippa United likely to be his destination.
Vilakazi, who spent the first half of the season with Sivutsa Stars in the NFD, looks set to part ways with the Mpumalanga-based side.
Although things looked positive for Vilakazi at Sivutsa at the beginning after the club made him a player-assistant coach, their relationship turned sour with the former Free State Stars and Ajax Cape Town man now looking at the other opportunities.
According to a source in the know, the player is no longer involved in the day-to-day operations of the team.
“The player may be going back to Cape Town. He could go and try his luck at either Chippa or Santos. He is expected to travel to Cape Town this weekend,” said the source.
Vilakazi had some of his best moments in football in the Mother City when he turned out for Ajax earlier in his career. and also won the Nedbank Cup at Wits in 2010 after scoring a brace in a 3-0 win over AmaZulu.
The 34-year-old later moved to Wits where he won the Nedbank Cup in 2010 after scoring a brace in a 3-0 win over AmaZulu - the club he signed for in 2012.
