News reaching the Siya crew is that former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns star, Benedict Vilakazi, has been released by Botswana Premier League side, Botswana Meat Commission (BMC).
Vilakazi joined BMC on a one-year deal three months ago after leaving another BPL side Notwane, who were experiencing financial troubles at the time.
But now the 31-year-old former Bafana Bafana midfielder find himself having to find another club after being released by BMC.
BMC manager Nelson Radijeng confirmed to the Siya crew that his club have terminated Vilakazi’s contract.
“The technical team felt that he was not offering the team what they expected from him, so we decided to release him,” Radijeng told the crew.
Vilakazi is now linked with a move back to his former club, Notwane.
