The University of Pretoria made huge announcements yesterday as they welcomed Workerslife as their new financial sponsor ahead of the new 2014/15 PSL season.
At an event called season launch, Tuks also announced their new signings, new kit for the 2014/15 PSL season and the partnership with Workerslife.
The club’s Communications Officer, Pearl Mosoane, told the crew that the financial backing will definitely boost the club in various ways.
“Firstly, we’ll have a muscle to buy players, compensate and retain them. We’ve been operating without a sponsor and it wasn’t easy but now things will change for the better. We welcome the partnership with Workerslife. Unfortunately, I cannot divulge the amount or how much the deal is worth but it’s a three-year deal,” said Mosoane.
Workerslife is a life assurance and insurance company based in Pretoria, but has branches nationwide, and Mosoane added that the sponsorship deal comes at the right time as they were looking for a financial sponsor. She added that Tuks will now be a competitive force in the PSL.
