University of Pretoria are keen to keep give on-loan defensive midfielder, Lantshene Phalane, a permanent deal.
Phalane joined Tuks on a one-year loan deal from Platinum Stars, and according to sources the 25-year-old midfielder has done well at the club and they want to keep him.
"Lantshene is also happy at Tuks and he would like to stay there permanently, but Stars also want him back, which is unfair because the player was loaned out before and they recalled him, only to send him on loan again," commented a source close to Phalane.
Phalane spent the 2012/13 season on loan at National First Division side Milano United. He returned to Dikwena earlier this season, but the club decided to loan him out to Tuks.
As reported by the crew earlier, Stars was happy with Phalane's progress at Tuks and they considered recalling him in January, but decided to let him stay.
It remains to be seen if Phalane will remain with Tuks, or whether he will go back to Stars. The crew will keep an eye on his situation and keep you informed.
