University of Pretoria will travel to Loftus Versfeld Stadium this afternoon in honour of their league date with neighbours, Mamelodi Sundowns.
Tuks coach, Steve Barker, has revealed to the crew that his squad isn’t crippled and there are no suspensions.
“Things are good you know, we don’t have injury and suspensions concerns ahead of this one which could bring headaches when it comes to selection. The players are ready and prepared to do the job against Sundowns. They’ve been doing well and they have good players. We know they’re a difficult team to beat but our aim is to put them under pressure.
“We last played a game against Wits a week ago and that has helped us a lot. I have noticed fatigue was catching up with us. So I believe the break helped us to refresh and we welcome it. We are fresh and read to do well on the weekend. Yeah, they’re neighbours but there’s a lot at stake as we want to get into that 30-point mark as quickly as possible. Once we get there we can re-assess our targets and we know it’s tight. We hope to do well in the next three games and get a better finish at end of the season. We’ve got to play for, we haven’t beaten Sundowns, we beat Chiefs, Pirates but we need to beat them as well,” added Barker.
The game gets underway at Loftus Versfeld Stadium at 15:30.
