University of Pretoria will face off against Mpumalanga Black Aces this afternoon as they want to end the season on a high.
Captain, Tebogo Monyai, said their mission is to keep focused and get maximum points against AmaZayoni. Tuks are at the back of a loss at the hands of Kaizer Chiefs on Tuesday night
“Yeah we were unfortunate not to get a win against Chiefs and it’s part of football. We tried our best but it wasn’t to be. However, we’ve moved to the next game now against Black Aces. We’ve failed to reach for the top eight and we just want a decent finish at least next to the top eight spot. At the current moment, we’re working very hard on redeeming ourselves. We want a win and finish on a high.
“We’ve never lost against Aces since we started playing against them and we hope to keep that good run continuing. Yes we do share the home ground with them and that’s going to be a battle in that case. The preparations have gone well and we’ll do our best,” added Monyai.
Tuks will be without the exception of their Zimbabwean keeper, Washington Arubi who’s out with a suspension and defender Junior Sibande with a suspension as well.
Tuks are placed at position 12 with 32 points with one game to wrap their 2013/14 league campaign.
