Information filtering through to the Siya crew’s desk from the University of Pretoria camp is that, the club's players are set to report for pre-season next week.
The Tshwane-based club has only given the players a month to rest following a long and tiring season. Tuks' last match was on May 10 against Mpumalanga Black Aces, and the crew understands that the players were given a month to recharge their batteries.
Speaking to the crew, the club’s administrator, Pearl Mosoane, revealed that the coach will announce new players and those he believes will be released.
“Monama is keen to stay as he was getting game-time here, and the coach is away on holiday now. He’s the one who was handling the matter between us and Mamelodi Sundowns, and expressed his interest in having the player permanently. However, the players will be coming back next week for our pre-season, and that’s when I can confirm the latest update on him. At the moment, I'm not sure about Monama."
“We usually give our players a month and they’ll be back next week, it’s our usual procedure at the club. They’ll return on the 10th so we’ll see if the coach will unveil new faces or release some players. He did indicate that he will promote and introduce new players for next season,” said Mosoane.
The crew made strides to contact coach, Steve Barker, and the player, Raymond Monama, but both their mobile phones were switched off.
Nonetheless, the crew will monitor the situation at Tuks.
