Maritzburg United have admitted their guilt to contravening a mandatory PSL regulation before the club's fixture against Wits in December last year. The league mandates that all PSL teams procure the attendance of two medical doctors to be on standby during a home fixture.
The Team of Choice did not follow this regulation before their clash with the Clever Boys at Harry Gwala Stadium, and subsequently were charged by the league for being in contravention of rule 8.9.1.
However, United have since paid an admission of guilt fee which automatically forfeits the charge against the club. The fine cost Maritzburg R5700 and the club will no doubt look not repeat the offence in the future.
