Date: 15 March 2015
Tyroane Sandows bagged a hat-trick as Amajita thrashed Zambia 5-2 in their final African Youth Championship clash on Sunday evening.
After a opening period which saw Amajita produce a couple long range efforts, they eventually made one of those efforts count, as Dumisani Zuma showed a good touch to beat his man before firing into the far corner.
Zambia nearly hit back in the 25th minute but Patrick Ngoma's close range header was kept out by the upright.
The score was leveled five minutes later, as Kabelo Seriba, under no pressure, headed the ball into his own net.
Zuma looked to restore Amajita's lead in the 33rd minute but Banda was on hand to keep out his long range effort, before keeping out Mathabela's header.
Thabo Senong's charges managed to take the lead 10 minutes after the halftime break, as Tyroane Sandows turned home Aubrey Modiba's cross from the left.
Zuma got his second and Amajita's third in the 64th minute with a clinical finish from the edge of the area, after latching onto a pass from Sandows.
Sandows then grabbed his second of the game minutes later with a composed finish from three-yards out, after some poor defending by Zambia.
Sandows then rounded off the scoring for Amajita in the 88th minute with another controlled finish to complete his hat-trick.
The Zambians managed to pull a second goal back with the final kick of the game, as Charles Zulu poked home from three-yards out.
Meanwhile, Mali defeated Ghana 1-0 in the other Group B clash to top the group standings.
