Sundowns youngster Keegan Allan is one of the new signings for Tuks along with Blessing Mabasa (Spartak), Kitso More and Lesedi Motha (Tuks Football Academy), Quintin Stokes-Waller (Stellenbosch FC), Thakasani Mbanjwa (Cape Umoya United), Ayanda Mvambi (Bizana Pondo Chiefs), Lulama Maqoko (Steenberg United), Kamogelo Pheeane (Mangaung United), Trevor Mokwena (Witbank Shepard) and Sibongakonke Mbatha (TS Sporting).

“We have had to reinforce in a number of departments, particularly upfront. We really tested them at training and in the friendlies that they have played so far, they have proven themselves. We looked at bringing in players with some experience, but we also wanted players who will compete aerially and will be able to keep up with the pace because that is the model that we are going for this season.

“I believe that there are players within the club who can offer us what we are looking for in the senior set up. A player like Lesedi who has excellent anticipation; he can see things before they happen, and he is very confident on the ball and is not afraid to take players on. As the senior team we have an obligation to give these boys a chance.

“I am grateful that we have been able to bring in a majority of our target players early enough so that we could have good preseason preparations. So far, the players have met what we have demanded of them and they understand what will be demanded of them in the coming season,” head coach Jan Motaung said in a statement issued by the club.

Meanwhile, after completing his law degree, Claudio De Almeida will focus on completing his articles, as confirmed by the club.
