University of Pretoria have rewarded Mpho Matsi with a new deal, with the 22-year-old midfielder having extended his contract with the side by a further two years.
Matsi has preformed well for the Steve Barker-coached outfit this season, with the Mamelodi-born player having played in every single game for the team so far. He has been a key player in the team and a reason behind AmaTuks’ impressive run in their maiden top-flight campaign.
Last season’s NFD champions acted swiftly in tying the talented player to a new deal, securing his serves for at least another two seasons.
Matsi is determined to make a name for himself in the Absa Premiership with Tuks, helping the club maintain their PSL status.
In addition, the club is negotiating the extension of a number of other players’ contracts. Barker does not want to lose his key players as he attempts to build a solid foundation, able to compete at the highest level.
