Another player who was released from his Orlando Pirates contract last week has joined Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila, it has been confirmed to the Siya crew.
Sello Chokoe, the TTM chief executive officer, has revealed that defender Alfred Ndengane will join the long list of new arrivals at the club.
“I can tell you that we have gone from having two players when we bought the team to putting together a good squad. As we speak, we have signed Alfred Ndengane,” he said.
Ndengane, 33, had his contract terminated by the Buccaneers last week – two years after he joined them from Bloemfontein Celtic.
With his experience, the defender will add steel to what is an impressive squad that is being assembled by TTM, the topflight rookies who bought the status of Bidvest Wits recently, but have received a lot of criticism for their administration blunders.
Earlier this week, the club unveiled 22 players, but were only able to go into their first game on Saturday afternoon with 14 – meaning they only had three on the bench.
Chokoe explained in detail to the Siya crew why the number was so low, although it does meet the requirements to be able to go ahead in their fixture against SuperSport United in the MTN8 quarterfinals at the Thohoyandou Stadium.
Ndengane follows strikers Justin Shonga and Augustine Mulenga, who were confirmed by TTM as among the new signings.
