Former Chippa United goalkeeper Avhashoni Tshinuna has joined Blackburn Rovers in the NFD. Tshinuna has been in search of a new club since parting ways with the Cape Town-based side.
The former Baroka FC shot-stopper made a name for himself during the 2011 Nedbank Cup, with his exploits between the sticks, however has battled to establish himself since.
Tshinuna and his former teammates, at Baroka, made a name for themselves after beating Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup, reaching the semi-finals of the tournament’s 2011 edition.
The player’s agent, Paul Mabye, confirmed with the Siya crew that Tshinuna has joined the East London-based outfit.
“I have sent Avhashoni Tshinuna to Blackburn Rovers. He has joined the club on a one-and-a-half-year deal. The club has just finalised registering him with the PSL,” said Mabye.
AmaRover have been looking for a goalkeeper since parting ways with former Kaizer Chiefs shot-stopper Kabelo Metsimetsi.
