Platinum Stars defender Rofhiwa Tshikovhi is keeping his cards close to his chest, regarding the links with Kaizer Chiefs.
It was revealed in issue 839 of Soccer-Laduma that the defending league champions are eyeing the player. However, when the Siya crew contacted the Limpopo-born player, he would not confirm nor deny the news linking him with a possible move to the Amakhosi.
Tshikovhi, in a jokingly manner, asked not to talk about it, “About the Chiefs issue, you will get me arrested. Let’s not talk about that one please. You will get me arrested. Let’s not talk about it now.”
The 25-year-old went on to say that he is focused on establishing himself at Dikwena. Tshikovhi made one substitute appearance for Stars last season.
“I will be playing regularly soon. Maybe the coaches wanted to prepare me so that when they feel that I’m ready I can start playing. It’s just a matter of getting a chance. I am confident that I will get my chance soon, and I want to play.
“I need to make up for last season because I didn’t play. The thing is that I started late with the team when I joined the club last season. They were already advanced with their planning and stuff like that.
“The team was about to end the preseason when I joined. It was always going to be difficult for me to be in the starting eleven. I’m confident this time because we started at the same time,” explained Tshikovhi.
