News making its way to the Siya crew’s desk is that Polokwane City has confirmed the signing of the trio of Rofhiwa Tshikovhi from Platinum Stars, Jabu Maluleke from Supersport United and Thabiso Hlalele from Jomo Cosmos.
As previously reported by the crew, the trio was very close to signing and boost Boebie Solomon’s team. However, the club’s PRO, Patrick Baloyi, said the players have joined City on loan.
According to the club’s website the players were very close to signing ahead of today’s close of the transfer window. But as Baloyi revealed to the crew, the players have signed.
“We have signed the players and we hope they will value in the team and see us maintaining our PSL status. We have acquired the services of Tshikovhi, Hlalele, Sibande, Jembula and Malulekje. These are the players we’ve signed with a view to boost us ahead of the first round game against Platinum Stars,” said Baloyi.
City will face Platinum Stars at home in their first game in 2014, these players could turn out for Rise and Shine next Tuesday.
During the transfer period, City parted ways with two Botswana-born players, Ntesang Simanyana and Kekaetswe Moloi, who both went back home to rejoin their former clubs, Gaborone United and Mochudi Centre Chiefs respectively.
