The 33-year-old will see his current contract expire in just a few weeks’ time, and while there have been no confirmations regarding his exit, it is thought that he could be one of the players on his way out.
It was revealed by the Siya crew this week that Keagan Buchanan is currently in talks with the club regarding a potential mutual termination of his contract at Naturena, with numerous players likely to be moving on before the start of next season.
The crew got in contact with Masilela’s agent, Mike Makaab, who commented on the situation by saying, “We don’t know for sure what’s happening with Tsepo, but we do have options in South Africa and have started looking at possible routes in the United States as well.”
Masilela has played around 150 games for the Amakhosi since making the move to Soweto back in 2012, playing a major role as they won two Absa Premiership titles, an MTN8 trophy and the Nedbank Cup.
Chiefs are set to make a decision in the next couple of weeks on who will be returning to pre-season when they report back on June 25th.
