Kaizer Chiefs defender, Tsepo Masilela, says the team has already moved on from their defeat against Mamelodi Sundowns this past weekend.
Masilela played the full game for the Amakhosi as they fell to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Sundowns, allowing their opponents to close the gap at the top of the league table.
Now, with their clash against Mpumalanga Black Aces on the horizon, Chiefs need to make sure that they pick up three points if they are to keep ahead in the race to defend their PSL title.
Speaking to Chiefs’ official website, the defender said, “We have to bounce back. No doubt, we have to soldier on. Sundowns is water under the bridge, we have another three points at stake against Black Aces. We have to win all our remaining games. Defending our league trophy is in our hands. We have three days before the game, which will give us a bit of time to rest and prepare well for Aces. We know what is at stake.
“At this stage of the league all the opponents are fighting for something in the league. Some are fighting for the league honours, others for the Top-8 spot and to stay in top-flight football. All the opponents are very tough. Aces play nice football and they have an AFCON winning Coach in Clive Barker. It is not going to be an easy game.
“We are a big team. We are taking it one game at a time. Big teams want to get involved in every available trophy therefore the pressure is part of our makeup as a team. We will attend in every game we play. The expectations are also part of us. We will take it each game at a time. When the time comes to play in the league we will focus on that game, the same goes with the competitions.”
Chiefs welcome Aces to FNB Stadium at 19h30 on Wednesday night.
