TS Galaxy have officially unveiled their playing personnel for the 2020/21 season. Among them is New Zealand goal machine Myer Bevan, who will be hoping to follow in his compatriot, Jeremy Brockie’s footsteps in taking the PSL by storm.
The 23-year-old striker, who boasts an impressive CV, having played in America, Sweden and New Zealand was amongst 13 players unveiled by Galaxy in the team’s spiritual home of KwaNdebele on Sunday.
Bevan finished as the 2019/20 season top goalscorer with 15 goals in the New Zealand Premiership, building on his impressive achievements of having top scored in both the under-20 and under-23 OFC Championships.
The lanky striker will don the number 17 jersey for Dan Malesela’s side, and is joined in attack by fellow strikers Mxolisi Macupu, Chitiya Mususu, Justice Figuaredo, Felix Badenhorst, Ndumiso Xulu and Sanele Barns.
As reported by the Siya crew, the likes of Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Mlungsi Mbunjana, Bevan Msimango, Bevan Fransman and Mokete Mogaila have all been retained by the Rockets, while the likes of Nation Ndlovu, Sihle Ndluli, Sibongiseni Shelembe and Tshegofatso Nyama have all graduated from the GladAfrica Championship.
Veteran Bevan Fransman will skipper the side, while Tshepe and Msimango have been appointed vice-captains.
The Mpumalanga based outfit kick off their DStv Premiership campaign against fellow top-flight newcomers, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila on Saturday.
