SuperSport United head coach Eric Tinkler felt his charges were 'very good' in the first half during their 0-0 draw with Orlando Pirates.
The Tshwane outfit squandered a host of chances as they claimed a point at Orlando Stadium on Tuesday evening.
However, the former Buccaneers coach felt his side should have been two goals ahead in the first stanza.
"[In the] first half, I thought we were very, very good to be honest. We said we wanted to apply a high press on them. When we did that, we stole the ball off them on many, many occasions," Tinkler told SuperSport after the game.
"I felt at half time, we should have come in at least two up. We hit the post and the first half performance was actually very, very good.
"The question was: could we maintain that in the second half? And I think that proved not possible."
