Orlando Pirates assistant coach, Eric Tinkler, has been handed a R25 000 suspended sentence by the PSL for insulting a match official.
The former Bafana Bafana midfielder, Roger de Sa’s right-hand man at Pirates, has been found guilty of directing insults at official Bafana Mosia and subsequently handed a 12-month suspended fine as well as being ordered to pay for the costs of the hearing.
While the Buccaneers were also brought before the Disciplinary Committee, they were acquitted of all charges.
Meanwhile, FC AK were handed a R10 000 suspended fine after being found guilty of fielding a player who had accumulated four cautions before their fixture against United FC.
In other news, Witbank Spurs were also found guilty by the PSL’s DC, being handed a R50 000 fine, also suspended for 12-months, after being charged with misconduct after it had failed to give their opponents, Mpumalanga Back Aces, access to their change room at least three hours before the game on April 21, 2013.
