Chippa United have picked up only one point in their two PSL Promotion/Relegation Playoff games played to date, having played to a draw with Santos, while losing to Mpumalanga Black Aces.
Today they will be up against Santos at the Cape Town Stadium, in the return leg, and winger William Thwala believes that they still have a chance of retaining their PSL status. However, he has emphasised the importance of winning today’s Cape derby.
He said that victory over their cross-city rivals will give them an advantage going into the last game.
“No one has won the playoffs yet. We still have a chance and what we need is a win today. Every game is important and we are going there thinking only of a win and nothing else.
“Yes we drew at home against them in the first game but that is in the past and today all that matters is a win," the former Orlando Pirates youth player stated.
