Mbuyane: No More Juju Dance

Mpumalanga Black Aces forward, Thulasizwe Mbuyane, has revealed to the Siya crew that they will not donate points when they meet Kaizer Chiefs tonight.

The former Orlando Pirates striker was speaking to the crew following his goal against the Buccaneers last Wednesday. He said meeting his former club was special and a bit emotional for him.

“I was a bit emotional on that day because of meeting my former team. Like everyone or player meeting his former team, I didn’t want to lose the game. There were no hard feelings or grudges but just to play my normal game against Pirates. The free kick came as a blessing to me. I took the decision to take it and I hit it well. I was so happy and every supporter celebrated via the Juju dance. I decided to celebrate in that fashion as well but I said let’s do it for the last time. I started the dance while at Pirates and now I must try and get something new because I play for a new team,” said the Mamelodi-born player.

Speaking about the Chiefs game tonight, Jujuman said that worst case scenario for them is to get a draw.

“We’re not going to FNB Stadium to donate points. They’ll have to find a way of getting three points somewhere else not against Aces. Our aim is to finish the season as high as possible. It’s always nice to beat a team at their own backyard you know. It’s a dream come true to work with coach, Clive Barker. He’s simple and easy to work with. He’s a coach, motivator and a father figure to us as players. He has the ability to push the right buttons in a layer,” said Mbuyane.

AmaZayoni are placed at position seven after 25 games with 37 points, while Amakhosi lead the standings with 52 points after 24 games. The game gets underway at FNB Stadium at 19:30.
