Thokozani Sekotlong Opens Up About Life At Mamelodi Sundowns
Former Free State Stars striker, Thokozani Sekoltong, has revealed that life at Mamelodi Sundowns has come with its challenges but he is honoured to be donning the Ka Bo Yellow colours.
The 26-year-old striker made the move to Sundowns on August 17, after undergoing a trial at the club under the watchful eye of Pitso Mosimane and his technical team.
Speaking to Sundowns’ official website, the player admitted that the pressure is much higher at the CAF Champions League winners and admits that he finds it challenging.
“Life at Sundowns has been really good. It’s a different environment. It is a big team so things are very, very professional. I know that the pressure is higher which is why I need to be able to handle that pressure. Here they demand the best out of you all the time. You just have to be tuned in all the time. I find it challenging. But challenges are good because that’s how you grow,” Sekotlong said on Sundowns’ official website.
“It means a lot for me as a guy from Mamelodi to be playing for Mamelodi Sundowns. I grew up supporting the team. My dad and my whole family are huge fans of Mamelodi Sundowns. They are all from Mamelodi. They all came to watch me in my debut at Loftus. It was a surreal moment. It was one of those moments that you want to cherish,” he added.
