Kaizer Chiefs’ start to the 2015/16 Absa Premiership is their worst league start in six years, with the team picking up 11 points from a possible 21 in their opening seven games.

Under Steve Komphela this season, while the Glamour Boys are still unbeaten in the league, they have only won twice, drawing five of their seven games up to this point.
That season, Vladimir Vermezovic’s first campaign at the club, the Amakhosi managed to pick up just seven points in their first seven games, winning two, drawing one and losing four.
They did, however, manage to finish third that season despite their rocky start, winning the Telkom Knockout at the same time, and Komphela will be eager for his men to put their poor opening behind them.
Chiefs now face two games, against Mpumalanga Black Aces that could help define their season, firstly in the TKO and then in the league.
With Aces flying at present, and also unbeaten in the league, wins for Komphela’s side could be just the confidence boost that his side needs to push on, whereas defeat could see them out of the TKO and possibly seven/eight points off the top spot in the Absa Premiership.
