With time to reflect on his career so far, Jeremy Brockie gave Soccer Laduma the best XI that he’s played with – and he’s not letting Michael Boxall forget Keagan Dolly and Mamelodi Sundowns…
Check out snippets of Brockie's dream team in the gallery above!
Brockie made his name in South Africa as ‘Sniper’ during his time with SuperSport United, but before that he’d played for the likes of Toronto, Wellington Phoenix and Sydney FC, rubbing shoulders with Liverpool and Manchester United legends along the way.

The Siya crew asked the 32-year-old for his personal ‘Dream Team’ based on the players that he’s played with over the years, and four Absa Premiership players managed to make the cut alongside some big international names.
Brockie gave some insight as to why he picked who he picked, including one superstar who ‘knows how to put on a good night out’…
So here goes:
Ronwen Williams as goalkeeper. He has all the best attributes for a top keeper. Kicking, shot-stopping, coming for crosses and saving penalties.
Michael Boxall at centre back. Boxy is in here purely to sit in and defend. Big strong lad who doesn’t often get beaten in a one on one except for his game against Keagan Dolly, which we still wind him up about!
Steven Caldwell as a centre back partner. Fantastic leader at the back, had an unreal career in the Premier League. Reads the play so well and his passing range was tops.
Ryan Nelsen as the third centre back. Would be my captain. The leadership this man has is unbelievable. Never gets beaten in a one on one situation, passing game is brilliant.
Teboho Langerman as a left wingback. Can run up and down all day, has a peach of a left foot and would provide plenty of quality deliveries for my strikers.
Paul Ifill for right wingback. Iffy would turn defenders inside out all game… Has a great cross on him and loves getting in the box and scoring goals. He won’t track back, so Boxy will have a lot of covering to do.
Dean Furman as one half of my central midfield. Will do all the dirty work in midfield for me, win the ball and give it to the attacking boys to score the goals.
Dwight Yorke as the other man at CM. Was in his twilight years, but was so comfortable on the ball. Passing game out of this world, and knows how to put on a good night out!
Robbie Fowler in front of them as attacking midfielder. Had the privilege to share the pitch with Robbie, First touch very classy, such a smart footballer and scores goals.
Bradley Grobler, my strike partner in crime. Scored plenty of goals together, won plenty of trophies and we complimented each other very well.
Me as the other striker, I obviously couldn’t leave myself out of my best XI!
And who would coach this dream team?
“Stuart Baxter. No other coach I’ve worked with comes close to this man. By far the best man-manager and enjoyed every training session he puts on.”
