They may be considered the two biggest teams in South Africa, but neither Orlando Pirates nor Kaizer Chiefs have any real contenders for the Absa Premiership golden boot this season.

The Buccaneers are currently second on the league table while Chiefs find themselves down in seventh place, with both sides still waiting for one of their players to score more than six goals in the current campaign.
With Black Leopards’ Mwape Musonda blasting away the opposition at present with 12 goals – four more than his nearest challenger – he is the clear favourite to land the gong at the end of the season, although there are players such as Mothibi Mvala and Lebohang Maboe gunning for his position.
Vincent Pule is Bucs’ top scorer in 2018/19 so far with six goals, however, hasn’t found the back of the net since January, while things are even bleaker for the Amakhosi who have their top scorer – Khama Billiat – on just four goals for the season.
Interestingly, of the 11 players who have got 6+ goals so far this season, only two of them – Maboe and Emiliano Tade – are currently playing for the same club, while the other nine are all at different teams.
