12 Potential Big-Name Exits From Chiefs, Pirates & Sundowns

With the official opening of the South African transfer window just a few weeks away, there is set to be some big names on the move between now and the start of the 2019/20 season, with Mzansi's 'Big Three' all set to make changes.

Check out some potential big-name exits in the gallery above!

All three of South Africa's biggest clubs have reason to adapt and bolster their side going into the upcoming campaign - albeit for different purposes - and a busy couple of months appear to be ahead of us as silly season gets underway in the Premier Soccer League.

Kaizer Chiefs -
After one of the worst seasons in Amakhosi history, the club are expected to make wholesale changes going into Ernst Middendorp's first pre-season back in charge, with a number of players likely to get the chop as they look elsewhere for stars who can potentially bring the glory days back to Naturena.

While a couple of players are seeing their current deals expire at the end of June, the biggest names linked with potential exits are George Maluleka - who is wanted by Sundowns, as well as Leonardo Castro and Siphelele Ntshangase, both of whom don't appear to be in Middendorp's plans at this point in time.

Orlando Pirates -
After a 'close, but not quite' kind of season for the Buccaneers, Milutin Sredojevic will be seeking to bring in a few fresh faces to make sure that the next season sees Pirates grab some silverware rather than finish as runners-up once again, with others set to make way in order for that to happen.

Long-term servant of the club, Thabo Matlaba, has fallen drastically out of favour in 2018/19 and could be on the lookout for a new club, while both Thabo Qalinge and Abbubaker Mobara are out of contract in a few weeks and it remains to be seen whether they will be remaining with the club or not.

Mamelodi Sundowns -
Sundowns are often one of the busiest teams in the transfer market in Mzansi - with both incomings and outgoings - and it doesn't appear that things will be any different this time around as they not only look to defend the league title for a third time, but also progress further in the CAF Champions League.

As Pitso Mosimane eyes a second star for Masandawana, players such as Aubrey Ngoma, Andile Jali, Reyaad Pieterse, Oupa Manyisa - all of whom haven't enjoyed busy campaigns this past season - may well find more playing time elsewhere, while the forgotten man, Mogokolodi Ngele, is set for a new challenge once his contract expires in he final week of June.
