Chiefs One Of Five With Suspensions This Week
Five Absa Premiership clubs will be without players due to suspension going into this weekend’s games.
Kaizer Chiefs’ Wiseman Meyiwa will serve the second game of his two-match ban when the Amakhosi take on Free State Stars in Durban, while Gabadinho Mhango is still out following his suspension for spitting at Michael Morton.
Phumlani Gumede of AmaZulu will have to sit out the clash with Ajax Cape Town after he was given his marching orders against Chiefs earlier this week.
Meanwhile, Tapiwa Pfumbidzai is missing for Bloemfontein Celtic and Nkanyiso Cele is out of action for Golden Arrows against Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City respectively.
Eight different teams could potentially be top of the Absa Premiership come the end of this weekend, with only 10 points separating top-placed Baroka FC and Wits at the bottom.
