Cape Town City will welcome Mamelodi Sundowns to the Athlone Stadium on Tuesday evening and there are currently six players going into the encounter, who are at risk of picking up their fourth yellow card.
The Citizens will host the log leaders this evening in the Absa Premiership and while Sundowns will have Wayne Arendse back in to the fold following his two-match suspension, the Brazilians will need to be cautious of three other players in their squad, who will want to avoid picking up their fourth yellow card booking and being suspended for their next Absa Premiership match.
Anele Ngcongca, Lyle Lakay and Phakamani Mahlambi are all currently on three yellow cards, and should either of them pick up their fourth tomorrow night, they will miss Sundowns’ next league clash.
City on the other hand also have three players on three yellow cards, namely, Ebrahim Seedat, Thato Mokeke and Matthew Rusike.
Should any of these three players pick up a yellow card tomorrow, they will miss City’s Absa Premiership encounter against Polokwane City on March 16.
Sundowns will look to maintain their position on top of the league standings with a win over City, while Orlando Pirates are breathing down their necks with just one point behind them in second place.
