Milano United coach Theo Hempe has bemoaned his side’s finishing in front of goal during the promotion/relegation playoff matches after his side lost their final game 1-0 to Black Leopards on Wednesday night.
Hempe says he is still proud of how his team played, but their lack of composure and experience in front of goal really cost them.
“I think you cannot be disappointed when you deliver a performance like that,” said Hempe.
“I just want to highlight once again the lack of composure we have and the lack of experience we have, you can see in the final third we are still rushing our opportunities too much.
“When you get all these opportunities and you cannot take one, that has been the story of our playoffs.
“I am still happy with how the boys have performed, they have been consistent and we have created a number of opportunities in all the matches, it has just been the final product isn’t there.
“You cannot expect to win if you don’t score goals, and that is a problem all over South Africa.”
