Orlando Pirates winger, Thembinkosi Lorch has revealed how assistant coach, Rulani Mokwena has influenced him in his professional career.
The 25-year-old made his return to Pirates in January last year, after back and forth loan moves to Cape Town All Stars and Chippa United.
The winger seems to have finally made his mark at the Soweto giants and when fit, has been influential in the way the Buccaneers attack teams in the Premier Soccer League.
Speaking to SAFA’s official website, after receiving a Bafana Bafana call-up, the player revealed that all the moves in his professional career have been key in transforming him as a player, adding that coach Mokwena often gives him words of advice.
“That whole process played a massive part in transforming me into a player that I am today,” Lorch told SAFA’s official website.
“I had to be patient while at the same time continued working hard to increase my fitness levels, and it was not easy. I am looking at ways to continue getting better.
“Assistant coach Rhulani Mokoena is one individual I always speak to on and off the pitch. He always reminds me to continue believing in myself and to work hard,” he added.
