Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane told players that there was nothing wrong with what they were doing during their shaky start to the season, this according to midfielder Themba Zwane.
'Mshishi' revealed that Mosimane tried to convey a sense of calmness to his players during their stuttering start to the season.
Downs were knocked out of the MTN8 by Bloemfontein Celtic in the opening round and recorded just four points from their opening four games.
They have since been able to turn things around and Mshishi has disclosed what the Downs mentor told his players during their testing spell at the beginning of the season
“Coach Pitso kept encouraging us to keep working hard. He told us there was nothing wrong with what we were doing, just that the results were not going our way,” Zwane told Soccer Laduma.
“We kept on working hard because we knew the results would come and we would start winning again.”
Zwane scored his second goal in as many games for The Brazilians this past weekend in their 3-0 thrashing of Maritzburg United which now sees them placed in second spot on the PSL log.
Are you happy with the job Mosimane has done with Sundowns or do you still think he is on thin ice?
