PSL Not Informed Of R60m Club Sale… Yet
The PSL Unaware Of The Sale Of Top-Flight Club
The Premier Soccer League has not been informed of the sale of a top-flight club, despite a reported deal being done that is worth R60m.
It was reported by SunSport this week that Bloemfontein Celtic's multimillion-rand deal between Max Tshabalala and an unknown businessman from Kimberley had already been done, with Griqua Park set to host some of their matches.
Given the reports, the Siya crew looked to get in touch with the PSL spokesman, Luxolo September, for an update on the situation, however, he is out of the country and unavailable for comment.
The crew did manage to speak to an official at the league though, who confirmed that, whether the deal has been completed or not, the league waits for word from Tshabalala or the club.
It is no secret that Siwelele’s owner is looking to sell the club before the start of the 2018/19, although if a sale has been made then due process has to now be finalised before it is confirmed by the league and given the green light.
