Polokwane Game Postponed After Defender’s Death

The Premier Soccer League has confirmed that Polokwane City’s game against Bloemfontein Celtic this weekend has been postponed following the tragic passing of Mogau Tshehla.

It was explained on Monday that the 26-year-old defender had sadly been involved in a car accident that took his life, with the football fraternity now mourning the loss of another of its sons.

Tshehla joins the long list of South African players that have died in car accidents in recent years, and the PSL are making sure that his club and teammates have some time to mourn their friend and colleague.

A statement read as follows:

The Premier Soccer League has granted a request by Polokwane City FC to postpone their weekend Absa Premiership fixture against Bloemfontein Celtic. The match was scheduled for Sunday, 18 February 2018.

This follows the sad and tragic passing of Polokwane City player Mogau Tshehla who passed on in a car accident. The PSL will advise on future date for this fixture.

The League wishes to convey heartfelt condolences to the family of Mogau Tshehla and the Polokwane City family during this difficult moment.
