The PSL have issued an official statement on the matter involving Tendai Ndoro and his eligibility to play for Ajax Cape Town.
This morning, Wednesday, January 31, Ajax announced that the PSL Dispute Resolution Chamber had ruled in favour of the club and that Ndoro is free to play for them this campaign.
Ajax tweeted on their official Twitter account, “The PSL Dispute Resolution Chamber has ruled in favour of Ajax Cape Town and Tendai Ndoro. The Zimbabwe international has been declared eligible for selection.”
The announcement came after Ndoro had been registered and played for Ajax, this after playing and being registered for both Orlando Pirates and Al-Faisaly in the same campaign, which indicated that the player might have contravened the FIFA regulations.
Following the DRC’s ruling, the League stated, “The Premier Soccer League has noted the ruling of the PSL Dispute Resolution Chamber (DRC) on the matter involving Ajax Cape Town and Mr Tendai Ndoro.
“This morning, the PSL DRC issued a declaration order which cleared Mr Ndoro to play for Ajax Cape Town.
“The PSL respects the decision of the DRC but disagrees with it. Consequently, the League will be taking the decision on appeal.”
