The Premier Soccer confirmed eight suspensions ahead of this weekend’s Absa Premiership clashes.
League action is in full swing in the month of January, with Mamelodi Sundowns and Bidvest Wits also campaigning in the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederations Cup competitions respectively.
Kaizer Chiefs will look to continue on their winning run and increase the gap at the top of the log when they host Cape Town City at the FNB Stadium, where the Citizens will be without two of their key players.
At the bottom of the log, Baroka FC will take on Polokwane City, while Stellenbosch FC will travel away to Highlands Park, with both sides going into the encounter off the back of losses in their previous matches.
However, while the action-packed weekend gets underway, eight players will have to watch from the sidelines.
Here are the eight suspensions confirmed by the PSL:
Amazulu FC - Sphesihle Maduna
Baroka FC - Manuel Kambala
Black Leopards - Khomotso Masia
Cape Town City - Roland Putsche and Thamsanqa Mkhize
Chippa United - Boikanyo Komane and William Twala
Polokwane City - Amos Dhlomo
