Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Gaston Sirino is not the only player in the Premier Soccer League that has been picking up yellow - and as recent as Tuesday night red - cards this season.
The Uruguayan was given his marching orders after two quick yellow cards by referee Victor Gomes, midweek during his side’s 2-1 win over Maritzburg United to go top of the Absa Premiership table.
He joined a list of four players who have collected two red cards this season alone, in Khuliso Mudau (Black Leopards), Robyn Johannes (Bidvest Wits), Nyiko Mobbie (Free State Stars) and Taariq Fielies (Cape Town City).
There are others whose discipline on the pitch may be called into question as they continue to make a habit of being cautioned by referees.

For instance, Bidvest Wits skipper Thulani Hlatshwayo was red carded for the first time this season when the Clever Boys went down 2-0 to AmaZulu last weekend – but had already collected five yellow cards prior to being booked twice in that league encounter at the King Zwelithini Stadium.
