Bloemfontein Celtic are understood to have not given up on their case involving Camaldine Abraw, despite him being a first-team regular for Kaizer Chiefs.
Abraw is alleged to have signed two contracts ahead of the 2015/16 season with both Celtic and Chiefs despite Phunya Sele Sele not wanting the Togolese to play for the Amakhosi, due to the way his services were obtained.
This however did not stop the Glamour Boys from registering the player as Celtic’s attempts to stop the registration were dismissed.
While the PSL confirmed last year that the case is ongoing, a Siya source has indicated that the Mangaung outfit are still waiting to hear from the PSL and, made it clear that the club was not going giving up on the case. The source said that they are still waiting to hear from the PSL’s legal team.
“At first, it was said that the case will go to the SAFA Appeals Board but then we heard that it’s back with the PSL. The team really doesn’t know where it is now,” the source said.
The Siya crew contacted the PSL’s Media Relations manager, Luxolo September, who referred all queries to acting CEO Mato Madlala, who was unable to be reached telephonically after numerous attempts.
What action do you think should be taken against a player if he is found guilty of signing two contracts with two different teams?
