We are not even halfway through the season, but the coaching changes in both the DStv Premiership and GladAfrica Championship have been coming thick and fast.
Over the past weekend, Brandon Truter of Swallows FC and Pretoria Callies' Joel Masutha were shown the door following a run of poor results while they were at the helm of these two clubs. And judging by how things have been going this season, they are not likely to be the last to vacate a coaching seat in the coming weeks and months. Baroka FC: After a slow start to the season, Baroka chairman Khurishi Mphahlele decided to demote Matsemela Thoka to the Diski Challenge side and promote Kgoloko Thobejane to the first team.
Chippa United: The club recently placed head coach Gavin Hunt on suspension and indications are that he will be let go. Kurt Lentjies has been on the bench as caretaker coach.
Marumo Gallants: The club announced that it has parted ways with Sebestian Migne following a disciplinary process. After weeks of having Mpho Maleka as assistant coach, the club appointed Dan Malesela.
Orlando Pirates: Just one match into the season, Josef Zinnbauer left his coaching role at Bucs and was replaced by co-coaches Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids.
Swallows: Brandon Truter was relieved of his duties as head coach of the Dube Birds and the club is expected to announce a new mentor soon.
TS Galaxy: After guiding Galaxy to a top eight finish last term, Owen da Gama had a difficult start with the club this season and was shown the door by chairman Tim Sukazi, who appointed German mentor Sead Ramovic.
Black Leopards: Lidoda Duvha brought in Floyd Mogale as head coach after starting the campaign with Morgan Shivambu. Benson Mhlongo was brought in to assist Mogale.
Cape Town All Stars: After starting the season with Roger de Sa at the helm, the coach took up a coaching job with the Egyptian national team. He was replaced by Allan Freese.
Cape Town Spurs: The club hired Shaun Bartlett as head coach after letting go of Dylan Deane, who had a poor start to the season.
Polokwane City: Innocent Mayoyo left his post as Rise and Shine coach as the club brought in Phuti Mohafe.
Pretoria Callies: The club parted ways with Joel Masutha after struggling at the bottom end of the table and announced Edwin Sitayitayi as the interim coach.
Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila: Zeca Marques left the club recently after coming in for Phuti Mohafe.
