Cape Town City’s Taariq Fielies has joined a list of several players who are believed to be untouchable in the current domestic transfer window.
The 28-year-old centre-back has been instrumental for the Citizens ever since joining the club in 2017 and it seems that his form continues to improve as the seasons go by.
The player’s performances have seen him attract interest from the likes of Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates for quite some time now.
As reported in this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma, there have been approaches for Fielies’ services, but according to Siya sources, any interested suitor should forget about trying to land him in the current transfer window.
The source added that the Citizens have so far already turned down advances from both Pirates and Chiefs, as they are currently not keen to sell to any local club.
However, in the past, City chairman, John Comitis explained to the Siya crew that the player is destined for a move overseas, though nothing has come of it since then.
