Former Bloemfontein Celtic defender Thato Mogakabe is hoping to land a deal with Sivutsa Stars in the National First Division.
The 26-year-old player got signed by Phunya Sele Sele in January 2011 from a Vodacom League side in KwaZulu-Natal, on a two-year deal, but never really made the desired impact and was released. He arrived at the club during the tenure of Clinton Larsen and was expected to give the likes of Kgotso Moleko competition for the right back position, but he could not meet the expectations.
He was most recently on the books of United FC and is determined to find a team before the next campaign begins.
Mogakabe told the Siya crew, “As we speak I am on my way to the Mpisane family in Durban. I’m going to have some talks with them. This is thanks to Richard Makhoba, who has been very helpful in making sure that I get access to the family, with the view of discussing a move.”
